Quote: colt-45 "fully agree!!
"ganson" strikes again! one of the most overated refs in super league, think its time he went to championship rugby. totally ruined the match for me!'"

imo it was the most biast display from a ref i have ever seen!!! he did all he could to make sure leeds stayed in the game. he clearly saw that bailey raised the knee ,otherwise he wouldnt of penalised him almost straight away!! so why put him on report ,just send him to the bin!!! as for the abblett "tackle" he shouldnt play for the rest of the season and definatly shouldnt of been allowed to carry on playin last night!! i havent seen the penalty count but i reckon it will be pretty even but most of wigans pens were in there own 10 an leeds penaltys in the opp 30 . utter disgrace if you ask me
rant over!!! icon_mad.gif

Quote: Standee "the problem is Ablett lost his appeal, but it cost him £200, he should have had the ban doubled because of a frivolous appeal, that might make cheats like him think twice.'"

Couldn't agree more, he should have had at the very least one extra game as a penalty and an extra £500 fine.

A reckless challenge yes & deserving of the extra fine & possibly a game added on for good measure, but a cheat what is that in relation to?

Haven't they started doing that in Football, not doubling the ban but adding a game if the appeal is deemed as frivolous. Sure Rio Ferdinand had that happen at the end of last season.

Quote: Jake the Peg "And if he moved to another club they'd be penalised too Agree this could be a problem but have always thought that if the player is put on report and banned at a later date then there should be some sort of benefit for the sinned against club. After all, Saints are going to benefit form Ablett being out when in reality he should have been sent off which would have seen Wigan have the advantage. Think there are pro's and con's which could make this difficult to implement.
