cant you see that both saints and leeds have better strength in depth squad that hull have got, look at bradford they dont have the strength in depth like leeds wigan saints huddersfield and there 10 on the trot beaten the difference is they are better sides than we are so it does make a difference enthusiasm doesnt win you games like we saw when rovers got tonked by saints, your squad does.

so you think nothing would change with longy fits and ogre in the squad.?

It doesn't against teams like Wigan, but could well have against Wakefield, Crusaders, Salford etc. And whether it wins games or not, fans expect to see enthusiasm every single week. I think that's the very least we are entitled to.

with the half back problems we have why do you expect to beat wakefield, crusaders, salford last year we had the same problems and finished near the bottom. untill hull bring in a quality 6 and a young 7 for when longy is out hull will be the same dribnle to watch. the game looks dull and un interesting when you dont have good half backs on the pitch comanding and controlling, whitch maybe thats what your mistaking for enthusiasm

we lost againt wakefeild and crus because we never had half backs good enough. not because lack of enthusiasm hull was poor poor in attack, no clue and nop idea.

Er, thanks for responding to my post twice. You were wrong both times.

I'm not 'mistaking' lack of enthusiasm for anything. I'm talking about things like line speed in defence, fighting to get a quick play the ball, committed kick chases, not strolling to scrums when you're 20-odd points down, running your weight in attack, and making tackles stick. Those are the things that you can do regardless of whether you have a halfback or not.

Even when Longy has been in the side we have looked poor in attack and clueless plenty of times as well.

Didn't look very good away at wigan and salford with long in the side, and a few more games where he's failed to spark. We have been poor all season with ball in hand irrespective of who has played. Our 2 best performances have been inspired by long against his old team and the only other one of note was the derby, which wasn't a great performance but was out of kilter with the other half dozen or so games either side

Longy has always been the same just ask Saints fans. You get good games here and there but a lot of the time he just goes through the motions but one spark of brilliance makes you forget about those moments.
At Saints he got away with this due to their being other players capable of making tries etc and he always seemed to turn it on in the big must win games.
We on the other hand are pretty much reliant on Long to create everything and if he doesn;t we look dull and boring.
