Lyne may play. I've heard that Whiting picked up an arm injury but played on anyway and he could be out for some time. To my knowledge there's been no official confirmation of this so hopefully it's not true.

This is a point which confuses me as to why it seems he hasn't even been considered with our problems out wide this season. I'd personally like to have seen him given a go, but definitely not against Wigan.

From what I've seen of them both in the reserves (although admittedly not a thorough impression), I don't really understand how one looks like being released whilst the other has a 3-year deal either.

Not soon enough unfortunately. Ogre next week (potentially), Fitz's injury problems are less well publicised so not sure on him.

It's not though, is it? you can't just make one first team appearance and be classed as first team or 'blooded in' if you prefer. To blood someone in would be over a season, making several appearances.

It could be a season ending injury too, which was one of the reasons Hall didn't play in the 20's on Saturday.

You are correct he needs a lot more experience to prove his worth in the first team...I was making reference to the term bloodied which is something we both see differently.
