Firstly let me say I am not blaming the ref for the defeat, but as we're on the subject of refs then I have to say that they seem to get a "downer" on one team and penalise every thing they do. I thought Rovers got a rough deal at Warrington, as did Bradford when they went there. Also couldn't understand how Rovers had two in the bin against saints and then when Mr Cunnigham did a head high he stayed on the field - inconsistency!! It's been in the game for decades. How do we stop it??

It could also be down to the dominant team not having to be niggly etc as the reason they are not giving away penalties. Granted Hudds probably did a few things to warrant penalties but in a less consistent way to what we did. If a ref blew for every single infringement we would soon be in RU territory.

Doesn't help when you have penalty machines like Radford playing.

It aint what's given it's what's not given that hurts the most.

I agree the side on the backfoot are more likely to give away easy pens, laying on, offside etc but Child seems to give all the 50-50's the same way as well. The ball always knocked backward for the dominant team, yet the others do it and it was forward, the ball reefed vs loose carry etc, those ones that seem like rub of the green type calls that do cost games and kill you as a fan.
