| The sooner Berrigan leaves the better, and takes Hall, Radford, Washbrook with him.

Full time deal, 121 mentoring, extra gym work, couple of games on the bench this season etc etc.

| Aldous and Bowden look good prospects at prop, neither (especially Bowden as he is only 17/18) will be ready next season IMO.
I think we might go with the current props we have and either sign an english prop (LMS, Cooper etc) or use Lauaki as the 5th prop.

| We need to keep an eye on what is happening at Leeds with their hookers, rumour is that tey are in talks with Buderus for another contract, if he signs either Mcshane (one year loan deal) or Diskin might be available.
If this happens look to release Berrigan or play him in the backs.

| I dont see what some peoples problem with washy is, ok he didnt do brilliant playing at half back, but thats because he isnt one. Thought he played well when he was allowed to swap to loose forward and drift in and out of the attack adding another pivot where needed. But an organiser he is not.
Also i arent the biggest radford fan either, offers very little in attack for me, but some of his defencive stats in the past are very hard to ignore IMO. Dowes also falls into this category.
Agree that Hall and Yak should leave though

| Quote Big Dave T="Big Dave T"Fieldon has taken some stick since he went to Wigan but from a metres made perspective and an offload perspective he's head and shoulders above Dowes, Radford and Cusack. I'd take him in a shot for the right price. He may be Crusaders bound though.'"
I can't imagine that to be true. I'd put down a fair bit that Radford makes more off-loads, probably pretty close in terms of meters and vastly superior in the tackling department.

Looking at the stats pretty even

Fielden tackle bust count is impressive but Radford's better at offloads and makes less mistakes, value for money Radford would seem the better option

Ive been saying that for years.
I'd take Fieldon for his go forward.

| Quote djcXIII="djcXIII"Matty Smith is a player we should be looking at, if we cant produce a half back ourselves then he would be a good choice.'"
Definitely agree with that, would provide a good interchange for hooker and in the halves. Would allow us to possibly free up a quota spot if the Berrigan rumours are true. Would also give us a plan B if Long was out. Also, Long mentored Smith at Saints so he'd be familiar with his game, with Smith himself and would also be able to give Smith some guidance in preparation for Smith becoming our number 7 once Long retires. Saints have Pryce, Eastmond, Moore, Roby etc in the halves/hooker, plus some talented youngsters, so Smith may be available.
