Halls problem is that he's got a poor coach in Agar in teaching him anything, He would flourish at a club with a coach who knows what he's doing.

My view on him is that his defence at SL level is below the required standard. Too much flapping and arm waving and crucially taking the wrong decision regularly. It's OK saying he has suffered from poor sliding defence inside of him but he struggles regularly with one on one situations. Attack wise he has done little this season and overall has underperformed.

If you're selected to play in a SL team you have to take responsibility and step up to the mark. There are a few players who are struggling to do that and Hall is one of them. Is it coaching ? Possibly although Rich Whiting gets better and better. More to do with application and dedication in my view.

The confidence thing worries me . After the two whippings by Leeds , It seems were back to last season already. Some players are just happy standing there waiting for other players do do something. The second phase attack at hull in non exsistant . Movement around the play the ball is the same. Weve still got the one man rugby syndrome either because of what the players are been told in the gameplan or are unwilling get stuck in.

A lot of that was due to not having an effective half back combination.
When Long is available you have more attacking options.

I think it's down to the halfbacks in the main. I thought Horne was average last night - very slow and rarely committing defenders at the defensive line. Washy isn't a half. This translates into a lack of structure (even more than normal) and players don't know what is happening. Everyone starts to lose confidence. I think it will return if we can play a settled side in the second half of the season.

I've reserved my judgement for a long time on Craig Hall. I've now concluded he is definately not good enough

Hall's biggest problem seems to be a lack of concentration at times, He dropped a couple of ball he really should have taken but other than that he did not do much wrong. I don't know why people always want to criticise someone after every game we play. If players have a bad game, big deal, it happens to the best.

Hall kicked a great goal which was crucial as the match went on and made one good break.
