| Don't know what it would take for Rule to sack our inept coach. Player recruitment, the reason JR always trots out is no reason to give someone a 2 year extension. As RA is the cheap option JR knows his proud boast of being one of the most profitable clubs in Super League is safe....in the short term at least. The reason he survived the trauma's of last year was it wasn't 'his team', well it sure is now and that makes our ineptitude all the harder to swallow. Settle in for the next two years.

Should have brought in players who dont drop the ball and can tackle and wrap up players then....so it is Agars Fault

Surely too complicated.
5 drives and kick everytime would suffice.

| Isn't Agar employed as team manager? That's what we have usually had in the SL era.
There is a world of difference between managers and coaches. A manger manages players, on and off field. He employs coaches to train players to play to his game plan, he usually doesn't coach them himself. How often would you find Alex Fergusson, stood on the touchline at MUFC's training ground, calling moves for set pieces?
I have no doubt Rich Agar is a capable coach, not yet in the John Kear calibre (because Kear is also a coach and not a manager) but he is certainly not a team manager. A manager will take on board what his coaches and scouts tell him and will then use that knowledge to get the best out of his own players, while also pointing to the weaknesses of their opposition.
The manager will develop the game plan and that plan will be specific to each game. It will involve telling players, who may have played out of their skins in the previous game, that they will be on the bench, or possibly not even featuring in the next game. They are called managers because they manage to do that without some player spitting his dummy.
That is not Agar. He is not and I honestly believe, ever will be a team manager. He would make a good "John Kear": someone who has the freedom to analyse the opposition, influence the way a team plays and help develop players. They both should never, ever be given total control. Neither of them are up to the task

| Quote Matty_HullFC="Matty_HullFC"You make fair points and I find it hard to disagree with you. I do find Hull's form unsettling however can see improvements in our team this year, I aren't defending Agar to the point where he does no wrong, I'm just providing balance to a message board that seems dead set that if Agar was gone we'd suddenly turn into a team that can beat the reigning champions and win the league and cup despite finishing 2nd to last the year before.'"
No one thinks that, however plenty know it would be the first positive step towards it
