| IMHO he probably has one of the best rugby brains in our squad, and although he has a lack of pace, his ability to read the opposition gives him a head start anyway, and I think he's vital to keep considering the amount of positions he covers, and covers brilliantly.

| Have always rated Rich, his reading of the game is second to none.
Must agree with a few other posters on here, he was my MOM as his defensive display saved us from conceding tries on more than one occasion.

Whiting does have a great footballing brain, I also think his talents are wasted unless he is playing 6 or 13.
He may not be the fastest player on the park but neither was John Newlove when we signed him. John had lost what pace he had, long before we signed him. What Bunting did though was get others, who had pace, playing off Newlove and it paid dividends.
I'm just concerned that Agar would never consider Whiting for a pivot role, for fear of upsetting a "star"

Good post. Very few of our players would have gone the length of the field today in that situation. He would be world class with that extra yard. Agar missed a trick last year when not giving him a role at 6 or 13 when the season had ended for us. It would have been a great chance to see what he could offer in those positions.

| For me, Richard was his usual honest dependable self. I see him as Fitz replacement (he is still only early 20's) and will give us that extra pivot and ideas in games. He has that air of unpredictability about him abd that has got to be worth a new deal.

Me and a few people i know have been screaming for him to be a 6 or 13 but even having him in the centres or at fullback is better than keeping him out the 17. considering he came to hull as a 6, he's not done bad in every other position he's played

| He'd be an excellent 13. I don't see why anyone should be upset about trying it, either. It's not like Fitz can't play prop or second row.

| If Tickle needs a rest after taking a knock, it may be a good time to try whiting at 13 on monday and move fitz into second row if he plays.

| My player of the season so far. Always gives 100% and never let's us down. I feel he should be looking at international honours. Ok a lack of pace but his utility value is fantastic. For all his lack of pace there was not a single Hull player near him when he made that break. As for putting players on report. For me we were penalised as unless the Rovers player was going to be sent off we gained nowt from that decision and in deed if we had knocked on at the first play the ball we would have been under immense pressure. Poor rule if Coddy is correct.

| M.O.M today, no doubt. The lad is class, probs got the best pair of hands at the club and arguably the best rugby brain. Would love to see him at 13 on Monday with Fitz dropping to second row but he will have to play in the back line as we now have no wingers at all. I reckon turner will come into centre with Rich being stuck out on the wing.

Spot on. I'd love to see him get a run at loose forward.
