Although I feel this appointment has been done at a very early stage of the season, if Agar's name does allow us to attract quality signings into the club, as seems to be the case last year (although the cheque book must also be a factor) then I can see benefit, as we are still very much lacking in the three quarter area. As stated the quick resigning of some senior players, will hopefully stop the rumour mongering and bring some stability for this season, and can now be completed with next seasons Head Coach in place already. Maybe we will have a jump on the rest of the clubs in terms of both retention and recruitment?

Having said that tactics and squad selection still leave leave me puzzled.

I can't understand why sixth would be a failure for this season though. Looking through the squads of Leeds, Saints, Wigan, and Warrington with past playing time for senior players to gel, Huddersfield in terms of an all round well coached unit with quality players, and Bradford being in a similar position to ourselves in terms of quality recruits needing time to fully exert their influence, is sixth unrealistic? Although with a bit of luck top 4 could be the case, we need to be ambititious but with a sense of realism, the top spots are now far more competitive than when we finished 2nd in 2006.
