Whiting overrun the pass. He wasn't even looking for it. Poor centre play IMO. Keep Whiting on the wing and put C.Hall at centre against Salford.

He overran a pass he wasn't even looking for? If he wasn't looking for the pass, surely he would have stopped running altogether.

Having looked at the Wigan highlights a few times, that missed opportunity was down to both players in part IMO. Whiting did overrun the pass somewhat but at the same time Hall's pass could have been better.

Yes bad use of words. What I meant was he overran the pass and it seemed like he didn't read the play very well at all probably causing him to overrun the pass. Craig Hall always scores tries and you can say what you want about his defence against Wigan, he wasn't exactly well supported by Whiting and the rest of the defence.

Again this is unfair on Whiting. He was left as badly exposed as Hall from what I saw.

This is probably about right, though I don't agree with your description of Whiting.
