Regardless of who is up and coming, in my opinion, Calderwood is deserving of at least another twelve months. I would be interested to know what kind of money he's on but I don't expect him to be a massive earner. With better service and decent opportunities, I hope he proves to be good value for money after scoring 30 tries this season . . . . . (he hopes !!).

On the other hand, you can keep a player who has been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years or replace him with a good young lad who has bags of potential with his best years in front of him. Wasn't one of the aims of taking away P&R to be able to bring through quality young kids?

Come off it! Some love em, some hate em but check out his stats v Colbon. The Wigan fans did say we got the best winger they released that year.
