Agree with all the comments on here. Work rate and leadership with an undoubted "wont be beaten" mentality will, if inspired to other team members, bode very well for us this year.

Must say I was "on the fence" about the signing but definately off it now. I dont want this to turn into a Fitz or Kearny thing but the two home debuts are miles apart imo. Lets just hope the standards that have now been set can be maintained.

His intensity in the tackle, his fitness, his all round game is fantastic and he is what we have needed.

Reminds me of Tony Grimaldi a bit, if only for the way he sweeps up everyone's errors and holds it all together.

He's an over the hill aussie come over for a holiday. At least thats what some were saying. Pure quality.

He brought us leadership by example. His workrate was the highest on the field, but more importantly he brings patience to us. There were times he was telling the players to wait before executing certain plays. He also has a great offload, which will bring points by the bagful once everyone out there learns to read him (although Tansey already does - obviously as ex team-mates from last year).

makes you realise how poor the standard some of the british backrowers are in SL even more so when the coach says hes probably the fittest bloke at the club even at 32

I think he is just a pure professional, he clearly takes every aspect of his game professionally including fitness.

He is pure class... The man never stops!!
