We just look much calmer when Berro is on the pitch, this is taking nothing away from Houghton im 1 off his biggest fans and hope he is at Hull for years to come.

IMO having Berro at hooker for a full season without him having the weight of carrying a pi** poor team around the park from 3 or 4 different positions will be the 1 of the biggest positives from signing the likes of Long and Fitz. When you look at our pivotal positons of 1,7,9 and 13 there isnt many better around in SL as a collective unit imo.

Houghton does ok, but we must remember he is not a world class hooker, although he will keep developing under Berro

I thought agar should have brought him back on much earlier than he did. Think he sat out the first 25 minutes or so of the 2nd half when for much of thta time we were under the cosh

Would agree with that. Thought he must have been injured.

I think he still may not be 100% and it maybe more precautionary, a risk worth taking due to his influence on the pitch..I would expect we will gradually see more game time.

I was surprised he was off so long. We certainly struggled without him on the pitch.

Another good game from him but not as influential as last week. Looked like he needed a rest just before he came off. Came back just at the right time to shore us up and ensure the win.

He's just back from surgery so I think Agar is getting it right with him. There is nowhere for him to get game time and like an earlier poster said, he did look tired when he came off. Reckon we will see more of him over the coming weeks and washy replacing Houghton on the bench to give us more options for rotation.

Spot on. In comparison to the other members of the squad last night was Berro's 2nd pre-season friendly. I'm sure he will play 80 mins when the ground firms up. Heavy pitch to play 80 at this stage of a season.

I think he's still behind the 8 ball regarding his fitness ,I'm sure giving him some decent spells at this stage of the season is the right thing to do.
