Syd Shepherd doesn't know his backside from his elbow about RL, so when it comes to company finance and financial reporting he was always going to be a tad confused.

I see in the HDM, Hudgel wants some sort of community venue in East Hull?? WHAT FOR. The KC is used as a multi purpose venue for RL and football (and the occasional concert), what exactly would the east Hull community get out of a venue there other than RL?

Well, was looking at the bbc sport website and the hull kr forum on there and someone wrote this on it:

"I have just checked on Companies House and it shows accounts made up to date 04/12/09 however no full details
It does show a negative net worth as of

I take it that is different to total debts of £3.2million that is being reported?

Correct. £1.545m is the net position. Rovers have debts of £3.2m and assets offsetting them in the balance sheet (including fixed assets of £1.3m). It's like offsetting the amount you've borrowed on a mortgage with the value of the house.

I assume that the bulk of that asset value comes from their valuation of their lease at caravan park. Not aware of any other fixed assets they have. Very optimistic given the restrictive covenant on the place

Think so. No real analysis of fixed assets but it does specifically mention lease capitalisation. Like you say, whether this represents economic value or not is subjective.
