As a football fan it's disappointing but as an FC fan I think it's good news. I don't want to see the KC made bigger, it would do nothing for the atmosphere at our games and it will also mean our fixtures don't get messed about with during the world cup.

suppose it's where you see things in 8 yrs time how far things could or would have developed given the extra funding and developments that would have taken place more in and around hull rather than just the stadium think the whole criteria is imagine what we could do or what we are prepared to do i and around hull .

The stadium wouldn't have been an issue, so it's obvious the bid failed on other criteria. Is it true that the Hull bid had proposed York for some of the accommodation?

As i stated in the earlier thread i am absoloutly delighted Hull hasnt been picked as a venue, Im a Hull FC fan 1st and foremost over anything. I am a football fan but dont particulary follow any team.

The KC wont be getting expanded because of this (possibly may do depending how Hull City do in the near future), and our fixtures wont be getting messed around with.

Even if we had been selected as a venue id be very surprised if Blatter, Platini and co who hate everything to do with English football select us anyways.

And we wont lose a point with the franchise scoring

Tell ya what Nigel.....Having the 'Worst City' tag is actually a wonderful thing......Its stops us getting inandated with the same 'migrants' that other cities are getting......Trust me....my words are not those of a racist, but those of someone that has witnessed a distinct lack of 'English' citizens in most of our 'bigger' city centres ! You are so right Hull is the 'Worst City' because of so called Toffs who are on Television Programes like Location Location - It is constantly derided by LOCAL people - By that I mean people who live in the East Riding Villages and Towns - They constantly think that they are better than people who live in Hull but dont know and have never been in the Areas of Hull that have some classic Houses. These same people use the KC Stadium - Hull New Theatre - The Wonderful New Hull Truck Theatre - The Hull Marina - The Deep - all paid for out of the Rates of the People of Hull.
