All I would say about Tomkins is that he did at times play a bit off the cuff and squander posession a fair bit. Don't get me wrong he is a cracking prospect especially when running at the line but maybe Smith is just nurturing him along. Myler suffered because neither acting half felt like passing the ball left much in the last game - something I hope is rectified this time around.
