Never been delighted with this signing but living in lancashire i can not believe how quickly the saints fans are to say he is past it - 3 Lance Todds - apparently he is really up for final swan song with us so lets give him a go....we've been crying out for a world class on field leader for years !

Not Longs fault Gardner is sh*t!

Long is out of form and his eye has something to do with that imo. When somebody breaks a jaw and has a slight loss of eyesight then it will knock your confidence. He has always been a class player and that hasn't changed this season.

Agree, think hes been rushed back too soon TBH.

He didnt have the greatest game on saturday but 2 or 3 of his kicks was fantastic and even at half fit is still a class above what weve had in the last few years ( apart from maybe Dykes )

Must be a concern for the Saints fans that they've had to rush him back and yet he isn't there next season, surely they should really be blooding his future replacement?

Long must be suffering a bit it was a nasty injury and he may well have been brought back too early. Some of his execution has been a bit off but seeing him getting in at first receiver and organising those around him is enough to convince me of his worth to us. No one has taken that responsibility at Hull for a long time.
