After wandering back to the car with my tribe last night, from a post match hug in the 'Red Robin', the player's were catching the bus home. After shakling Thorman's Hand, and that of Sharp, and Moa and Manu, I watched the rest board the coach. They all wore a mix a sports shirts. Waiting with us was the Wigan Faithfull, to greet their hero's. When they came out, they all wore smart grey suits and Red wigan ties. What a contrast. For me, that's important. When Kear was at Hull, and Sharp, our player's wore black suits, white shirts and Hull FC ties before and after matches. Another 'casual' standard lacking. Even a stag night wears the game gear to 'bond' a group. Even Hessle Ranger's 'Puff-Ball' under 18's have to wear suits pre/post a match. I think this is important, for bonding, for standards, for dicipline etc.......... Clearly Agar doesn't. Nor does he 'power dress' as a coach - or when on sky as a pundit..................actually, is he ever on sky as a pundit ?????? - anyway, off post. Is this important - DISCUSS.............

Quote: hallas "There is no doubt that we are lacking professionalism throughout the club but making the players wear suits for a long bus trip does not make sense. For years most clubs policy has been club casuals for away trips -even the ultra professional Wigan team of the 90s.'"
I accept that answer - HOWEVER (and in a season like this, there is alway's an However), if they all wore the same well washed, ironed in faded club shirts, i'd say we got the best of both worlds, but they all wore different stuff, and some of them looked like old, faded, jaded, washed out 'has-beens' - THE SHIRTS that is. icon_biggrin.gif

Totally agree mate - should all be in matching casuals that look brand new.

This isn't down to Agar. After the Castleford away game last year, me and some friends met the players after that game. Hall, Byrne, Radford, Raynor, Yeaman, Tickle, and Lee wore a variety of Fc Tracksuits/hoodies, and Berro was wearing a Fc polo shirt.
Whilst not looking 'smart', they atleast looked together, even if the tracksuits were Donnay quality.

Quote: vkevents "For years teams have worn Suits/blazers at Home games and Tracksuit/casual away it makes sense to be more comfortable travelling to a game.

Been Happening for as long as i Know and I was talking about this to Rob Nolan the other day he said they all had to wear suits on home games and Tracksuits etc for travelling away.

Much better travelling down the m62 in a tracksuit then a suit its all about making the players feel relaxed'"

I remember Neil Cowie and graham West suited up and chowing down on some fish and chips in the chippy on Airlie Street!

Thats funny because has i walked though the main entrance of the DW stadium,i stopped and talked to Wigan player Pat Richards and he certainly never had a suit and tie on! he was wearing black trousers and a Wigan polo shirt.
