1. If Lunts disallowed try had been scored by a Warrington player I would have been mightily hacked off to see it chalked off. It was a 50/50 call but would have expected the benefit of any doubt to go to the attacking player
2. The try chalked off for obstruction by Hodgson was right in front of us - definite obstruction. Bridge didnt misread the play, he was sliding from left to right to cover. Because he was blocked off, Briers was left isolated resulting in the try
3. Matt Kings disallowed try could have either been disallowed for a knock on ( i still think Riley prob touched the ball 1st ) or a 2 on 1 ball steal.
Fantastic atmosphere at the Warrington end. There probably wasnt the 30,000 people were claiming but would be surprised if there were much less than 25,000. When watching it back at home, the TV didnt do justice to the noise generated one bit. The Beeb seemed more concerned with making sure the viewers could listen to Ganson instead.
Even the Hudds supporters seem to be disappointed by the level of noise from their own end but if Warrington had gone down 18-6 so quickly I think we would have been a touch dispirited as well.
Wasnt the greatest free flowing game of rugby league and Huddersfield never got close enough to call it a nail biter but what do i care. I waited 19 years to be able to ask for "8 tickets for the Warrington end" at a Challenge Cup Final.'"
I think that is a valid point.
Quite why BBC and Sky both think we want to hear the referee at all times baffles me. Fair enough when he is talking to the video ref or is giving a player a ticking off but hearing him call tackle numbers or constant cries of "Moooove!!!" are just annoying.
