| Quote BEN_THE_BLACK&WHITE="BEN_THE_BLACK&WHITE"Does anyone else think that this floodlight 9s coulod be a better tournement if they played it at a different ground every year, i would like to think that if it came to the kc or craven park the attendence would be alot bigger then last night.
And i also think that sky should maybe televise it or at least do a comprahensive highlights programme.'"
This is the sort of things which would be fantastic as a season opener, kind of like the Middlesex sevens in RU. Problem is, our season starts in winter so it wouldnt really work. Its why I can't ever see this event really working as putting it mid-season will always mean teams playing weakened sides, even if it is moved to a weekend with no other fixtures.
Thats why I would like to see an international nines tournement held ofr emerging nations

I think this is the perfect week for it with only the challenge cup at the weekend it means the rest of superl eague doesnt have a game for two weeks, i just think they could do alot more to promote the tournament and changing the venue every year would keep it fresh and attract different sets of supporters every year.
And you dont have to even send alot of 1st teamers to make it exciting because its such a open game its taylor made for young fast skillful players, so clubs neednt worry about getting injuries.

Oh yes!
Held at The Boulevard in the early/mid 80s at least a couple of times. I've probably got the programmes somewhere.
I think we won one year and so did Oldham.

Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"James Smailes was saying Reece Lynn was excellent in the first game. What's his contract status?'"
www.hullfc.com/hullfc/contents/?p=4321
Nice article, although still not clear how long his contract is for.
It was Lyne’s try scoring brilliance which brought Hull victory over the Rhinos when he turned on the style to score the match winning try in a 16-10 final win.The youngster is regarded as a “hot” prospect by the club and along with Briscoe they have both been ear marked to have massive futures. Neighbours and arch rivals Hull KR were one of those teams chasing his signature, and Reece revealed: “A few clubs came knocking on the door. Leeds, Warrington, Castleford and Hull KR all made approaches to sign me but I chose Hull.
“It wasn’t a difficult decision because I just thought Hull offered a good pathway forward and after speaking to Rich (Richard Agar) I was convinced Hull was the club for me.”
Do they just copy and paste the last bit into every player's interview?

Is it just me that finds it wrong that a 16 year old lad making his way in the academy feels fit to call his head coach by his abbreviated first name? Its just a respect issue in my opinion.
