Dunno, ask Steve Cross, after he chalked off 3 Widnes tries at a Widnes v Hull FC game, back in 2003 or thereabouts

| Quote cod'ead="cod'ead"In my experience, the vast majority of supporters are clueless. I've also never failed to be amazed at the number of players who have little concept of 'The Laws of the Game'.
Mind you, I can only speak from practical experience, rather than becoming a Sky armchair expert'"
This supporter as refereed at Academy level so as a perfect concept of the rules of the game thanks, mind you it's not exactly needed to judge a forward pass. All you need to do is have a pair of eyes.

| screwed/robbed either way silverwood got it wrong! never a forward pass. saying that, fisher should never have been allowed to make that run.
playoffs look out of reach now, so lets hope we play like this for the rest of the season, give us something to be entertained
as for rovers, good luck in the play offs, if cooke or dobson get an injury they are f00ked, as for newton, man of steel???

| Quote justinho="justinho"Hmmmmm booty whupped? The score was 24-18 to rovers to make it 2-0 this year. We took advantage of a side who's attacking prowess would not look out of place in national league two. We led through out the game and come away with a win. But somehow you think you can justify saying we "nearly had our booty whupped" the key word in there is nearly. We come away with two points.
And as for the outstanding coach we are in the top four a manager will not be judged on a game but upon league position and you are a seriously fading club with quite possibly the most clueless manager in the league.'"
Get your red and white glasses off we owned you for most of the game!!

So, being in the right place, at the right time, has nothing to do with it then?
Or were you one of those who always was there?
Why aren't you refereeing at Academy level any longer?
Get over it. I resigned from 2nd grade (the old 'A' team) level because of work commitments. I was however big enough to realise that I wasn't doing the job any justice. It was only after I'd resigned my place that I found out that I'd have been promoted to Grade 1.
Your excuse is what?

| Quote rhinoms="rhinoms"It was complete as soon as his ball carrying arm hit the deck while fox still had contact!!
I thought you were hard done by and vital decisions went against you but that wasn't one of them.'"
It wasn't actually. The momentum of the player hadn't stopped. Simply having your hand on a player as he rolls forward on the floor doesn't complete the tackle if it isn't controlled. The fact that Fox felt like he had to have a 'second bite' showed that he didn't think it was complete either. Two poor poor decisions.

Because I couldn't be a voiceless puppet, I have this thing called an opinion which referees aren't allowed to have if it means going against another official. Also been on the line at A-team games and told by the grade one refs, I'm grade 1 I'll ref this you just tell me if the ball goes into touch or over the posts.
