I'm pleased with this signing, he may have had a dip in form over the last couple of years, but he is still a quality forward if we utilise him properly as an interchange and not as a starter. The pack for next season looks a good one with the likes of

we shouldn't be dominated the way we have over the last few seasons.
We now need to strengthen our 3 quarter line to take advantage of the go forward that our new look pack should offer us.

To be fair do you expect people to be blindly optimistic regardless? I get the feeling that Hull go out to sign big name players without paying for real top drawer quality.

I think Shrek will be a good signing although it would be stupid not be concerned about his injury and his drop off in form, his downfall could be compared to that of Fielden in many ways, that said SL is not as good a standard as the NRL and the agression he can bring is something that you dont ever lose.
