Most halfbacks operate better with a decent partner. The last time Horne had one he did well. He's an excellent running back who is currently out of form due to a variety of factors.

I've never claimed anything else. FYI teams do operate perfectly well with one creative half and a running/support half. Our problem has been that we haven't had a creative half to partner Horne.

You asked when his last world class game was, which implies that someone might have suggested that he was world class at some point. He isn't world class, along with all other British halfbacks. Which was the point I was trying to make.
We've been trying to sign a world class halfback for a few years now. You may have noticed our spectacular lack of success. Hardly Horne's fault. As far as the 'local player' thing is concerned, that may affect some people's opinion but not mine. I'm not local and I don't give a stuff where our players come from as long as they produce on the field. Horne has produced and I'm hopeful that he will again, health/fitness allowing.
I'd also be perfectly happy if we signed a better player and moved Horne as a result. Unlike you, it seems, I don't take these things personally. If the balance of the side is better served with Horne playing elsewhere and it results in better performances than that's all that matters to me.
