| Richard Horne is a professional sportsman who was diagnosed withe type 1 diabetes only last year. I was diagnosed with the same condition 11 years ago after losing 3 stones in weight over a short period. The inital feeling is one of relief when you are told you don't have the big c but the effect this condition has on your everyday life is huge. Trying to balance blood sugar levels while training as a full time sportsman will be very difficult for Rich and his energy levels will also be affected. Its gonna take him some time to adjust, more than he has had already and i realise that for non diabetics this will be difficult to understand. Every physical exerstion, different ambient temperatures and different foods all have an effect on the bood sugar which is normally regualted by the pancreas. We diabetics have to learn to regulate our sugar levels ourselves. He just needs the time to come to terms wth this and i'm sure he will be back to his best.

| After having a very good first 4 games, Hornes been rubbish ever since at halfback. He did good at fullback but even then I think his performances were been overhyped. He's not as bad as Thorman but he really needs a kick up the backside

| Quote HFC8280="HFC8280"Another poor performance again today. Three or four handling errors, missed tackle for the first try on the stroke of halff time. Poor kicking but this is the norm. People so quick to point the finger at Thorman but for me Horne has been poor all season. Why is nobody calling for Horne to be dropped like Thorman? Is his commitment to his testamonial more important to him that putting in a proper shift on a weekend for our team?'"
Just another who has any shred of condfidence ripped out of him by poor coaching!

The fact EVERYTHING is the coaches fault. Horne's never been very creative.

I never said anything about his creativity, his all round game is poor by his standards, which is probably attributed to his problems indicated above.
Maybe in yet another write off of a season we should give him a rest.

| Horne doesn't have what it takes to be a top stand off or scrum half. Worth a shot at Full Back maybe if Tony goes, I have never being Horne's biggest fan he just doesn't bring enough to the role that he is required to do for me or when he does its never consistant enough.
Love him to prove me wrong but I very much doubt that.

| I reckon it will be quite some time before a Hull player equals or betters his 'tries in consecutive games' record. Every back we have is appearing to be worse than they are because they are playing behind a consistently beaten pack. Horney was fantastic off Carvell's shoulder and good at attacking defences that are on the back foot. He's had pretty much no opportunity to do that this season.
