| He may have played poorly in your opinion but show me any player near the top of his game. However you cannot question his commitment.

| Take it you completely missed the post then were I said I'm all for the move for him to Full back. I'm not an idiot I can see what Horne can do with his footwork if given the space, the fact is like you say he needs other people around to pull the strings. So basically at the moment he is like a passenger, granted he is not on his own.
I don't hate Horne, my opinion only stands out because I am one of a few who dare critisize him. IMO he is taking up a valuable spot in the team, one which we would benefit more from by signing a creative stand off. Playing Horne at FB will give him the freedom to join the line and will be playing more to his strengths IMO.
This isn't a personal vendetta against him, its just that I would like more from a half back and even if it looks like I am on my own with that one I couldn't care. Because when he retires in another 10 years whilst playing at HB and we still haven't won SL I will gladly remind you that he was a player we have carried for many years. If he was to play FB however I could see him becomming a top member of the side again.

| Horne is below average, WELL below average, if he was an Aussie that we'd brought in as a quota player then you'd all be up in arms.
It amazes me the level of abject mediocrity some FC fans will accept and applaud, lemmings.

| Full back and Half backs have a different thinking time ..At f/b you can view your arch of vision and have a longer thinking time ..h/b got to do think in the blink of an eye ..R Horne is a player that can play in both but a good h/b has got to play behind a go forward pack ..if not given that time a good h/b would get murdered .. Saint pack gives their H/B time and space to play .. We saw what happen when you get on top of the Saints pack you beat them (semi final 2005 ).. our down fall so far our pack is getting knock back putting our half backs on the back foot ..it was a pity the two big signing didn't get they visa for the start of the season ..we just might have seen a different Hull F C

| Quote: HFC8280 "Another poor performance again today. Three or four handling errors, missed tackle for the first try on the stroke of halff time. Poor kicking but this is the norm. People so quick to point the finger at Thorman but for me Horne has been poor all season. Why is nobody calling for Horne to be dropped like Thorman? Is his commitment to his testamonial more important to him that putting in a proper shift on a weekend for our team?'"
Don't worry mate i agree
