Quote Sebasteeno="Sebasteeno"Whilst agreeing with reasons this is coming about i dont understand why this group is even being formed tbh. Seems to me its been done so the fans can have more contact with the club and it can become more accountable to the fans but in order to do has to get into bed with the club which completely defeats the object IMO. How long will all this take because for it to gather up any momentum or power its gonna be atleast next season which means its gonna do nothing for our present predicament.
IMO more direct action is needed. Boycotting, banners, turning away from the game, anything, but it has to be more instant.'"
Maybe other people have a different idea to me with regards to what this group/club/association should be about. IMO its not about attacking the club when they do something we dont like. It should exist whether we are having good times or bad times. It should be a way for the fans to have a positive influence with the club, whether it be raising money to sponser a player or to help sign a youngster on a full time contract or organise events for the fans to get together etc and (hopefully) with a large enough membership we can voice our opinions to the club and they will listen to what the members want. If we just try to use it as a stick to beat the club with we will get nowhere and even if we did achieve some sort of change it would then quickly go out of existance.
Thanks to Dean and Chewie by the way. The only thing I would say about the proposal is that whilst it is is important to build partnerships I would say the two organisations would have very different goals and the ISA created should really be focusing on things related to Hull FC. Thats not to say the two shouldn't support each other but I'd say thats something for the future rather than part of the building process. Again just my opinion mind.
