| The OP of this thread asks a very pertinent question. Is the coach the problem or the team?
On the face of things you would say coach, he's the man in charge and the buck stops with him, but lets think about this shall we?
If Agar walks he will be the 3rd coach to be sacked in four years, because of the performances on the park. The playing staff hasn't changed all that much over the stewardship of Kear, Sharp, and now Agar has it? We played some good rugby when Agar took over the team as interim coach before Sharp took over. Sharp practically admitted he had to change nothing when he got here, and we went on to the Grand Final.
Just blame the coach hasn't worked in the past has it? Maybe some should look at getting rid of some of the team.

| Agar isnt good enough FACT, injuries excuse doesnt wash for me, the only players we have missing that would have started under Agar would be Manu and Calderwood (id start Washy at 13 but the less said about Agars choice for 13 the better).
His tactics of 5 drives and a kick (a crap 1 at that usually) just isnt good enough, ive seen games on Sky on a Thurs night and teams like Halifax and Barrow would fancy their chances against us.
Yes i understood this isnt Agars team a lot of the dross was here under Sharp but theirs still a nucleus of the 2006 grand final team Dowes, Thackray,Yeamo, Raynor, Whiting,Horney,Tony, Berro instead of Swain.
We are massively underachieveing on the pitch and it simply isnt good enough

People say Agar should be out because
a) He can't motivate the team - He clearly can because they came out in the second half all guns blazing, if they didn't want to play for him they wouldn't have being trying so hard.
b) His tactics are rubbish, 1 up rugby - Don't think anyone can say that after the last 2 games, we look like we are a lot better in attack with Tony/Raynor back in the team.
c) His interchanges - Much improved tonight for me.
Only thing you can say tonight is Radford playing 13.
How much can we say it's down to Agar? These are mostly the same set of players that Sharp had, who got him sacked. Are the players just not good enough?'"
There in lies the problem with your post. Last time I looked RL was an 80 minute game. NOT A 40 MIN GAME. You don't get points for winning a half. We were woeful in the first half. Thats when they should be motivated not when the game is lost and the opposition are already in the pub celebrating.
I was expecting a good competative game tonight. I turned up looking forward to it. From the minute we kicked off and ground out 35 yeards from our first 5 tackles and then kicked out on the full the writing was on the wall. Simply bloody awful and an insult to those of us who foolishly spent our hard earned following them again.
