I think that if Kearney is the kind of guy that thought he deserved that MOTM award, and also cannot comprehend that the fans that booed were booing the decision and not him, then it's probably best if he doesn't come back to Hull. We have had our fill of coaches who have no empathy with the fans.
The booing was wrong, but it was a spontaneous outburst by a shocked set of fans. If the people around Kearney at the time couldn't explain the situation to him then that's sad.
BTW - I very much doubt that this is something that weighs very heavily on his mind.
