Again I have to agree with that. Swain was the consumate pro but joined a team which was developing under the guidance of Smith (on the pitch anyway

). I am sure players like Horne and Cooke learnt a hell of a lot playing with Smith.
Smith had all the skills needed, he could change a game at the drop of a shoulder, put in a 40/20, brilliant attacking kicker and not a bad ball stealer!
