You should start a chant at the next home game - 'The peformances are not acceptable and the rugby is boring, and you know it is!'

Mine also. Last time we had a side and a coach capable of playing attractive, attacking rugby. Only a horrendous end of season injury crisis stopped us from being realistic challengers that season.
We've been on a downhill slide in terms of quality and playing style ever since IMO - despite the CC win in 2005 and GF in 2006.

I would have loved to see what we could have achieved without that horrible run of injuries. Its also interesting to note that despite comments on here about Bomber playing good rugby, at the time people wanted a change as he had been in charge for 5 years and we felt we needed a new coach to progress further.

My recollection is that pretty much everyone wanted him to stay but he wanted to try his hand in the NRL.
Interesting comparison between his time with us and his time with saints. he left saints after one GF win (I think) but left them with the seeds of a great team that went on to dominate the game with a succession of top quality coaches and acquisitions, whereas he left us with the seeds of a top class side which went on to a cup win, appear in a GF and has then been systematically dismantled by a succession of inferior coaches, poor recruitment and incompetent management at the club

Calderwood - Never gets used, but in the 2004 team would of scored as many as Best did.
No way, however great you think Calders is, he's nowhere near the class Col Best was/is. Besty would start in most NRL sides.

| Even to have GOD from that squad in this years would be a massive boost.
Think I may watch the 2004 season review tonight.
Can someone post the 2003 squad?
