During most games you'll see a spell were one team is seriously under the cosh. They start hanging back waiting in defence and panicking when they get the ball just trying to get to the end of the set to get a kick in. We seem to be like this for most of the game at the moment and that is down to mental preparation from the coaching staff.

it look like they have been told to defend like that though. The seem to try to hold a steady line yet not move up quickly to have any breaks in the line. While giving away a few extra yards at a time i think they trying to play the percentage of closing the half breaks out.

yet for the first 5 games we played the opposite and look what happened! Why did agar ever feel the need to change it?

id never defend like that, your just creating pressure against yourself. The other team gets a roll on makes more yards and you never dominate a tackle
