Berrigan is the on field captain , so what captain is Radford?, you say Berrigan does all the talking with Cusack , shouldnt Radford be doing that?, and as for Crocker to be doing it next year he will be new to the team not his job IMO , you also state berrigan does ALL the talking as does Cusack they cant both do ALL the talking can they?, what a joke

Suppose that proves the point that Hull were all talk last season

| As others have said, it depends how further recruitment/departures pan out before we can say how good a signing this is. I think by the 2010 season he will be almost guaranteed to be propping. Replacement for Cusack?

| Quote thehullwhitestar="thehullwhitestar"So is Andy Last !! Does that mean he should have his squad number back and a share of the salary cap then ??? What about Steve Crooks ??
Radford offers close to nothing on the field, he no doubt works hard and applies himself with his very limited ability but if he is an integral part of the new RA/PS regime, I'm already starting to feel pessimistic.'"
Thats rubbish, he does lots on the field, his effort and workrate is fasntistic, but as someone has already said we have too many of these type of players.
As long as the sign two top NRL players to replace Byrne (but a scrum half) and Cusack for 2010. And maybe a FB to replace Tony, we will have a sqaud capable of challenging the top two.

| Whats the point in this extension.
Most people on here including myself were hoping that next season we would see a mass exodus of the deadwood players and we go and give a new deal to the biggest waste of space in our squad.
Whats next a new 3 year deal for G-Horne.

| Quote Johnny Cash="Johnny Cash"Another blunder by the club, like i said yesterday the club are carrying deadwood, and people blamed Sharpy. So they offer Radders another year, so its going to be another embarrassing season for us again, theres no one left worth signing we will have to make do, whilst other clubs are releasing news of decent signings we extend the contract of a bloke who cant catch a ball, cannot lead a team , the only thing he is talented at is battering people in the ring.'"
i THINKYOU ARE TALKING OUT OF YOUR RING OF FIRE YOU OBVIUOSLY HAVENT A CLUE ABOUT RUGBY LEAGUE

Personally I think Rafords playing performances have improved over the last few years.
It think there is too much expectation that he should be a world beater by virtue of being captain. The captaincy should be taken from him as it appears he is not the inspirational movitator the team needs when their backs are up against it.
Radford is they type of player who will run through a brick wall for you.
IMO Radford would be best serves playing at Prop without the burden of being captain

| Not really sure what he has done to deserve this contract extention tbh. Still, it's in line with the clubs current recruitment policy of extending deals of players that have just completed a consistently poor/below-average season with the club.

The vocal minority on here would class Radford as deadwood, not most people!!
