I’m sick to death of hearing about our injury woes, as all they are doing is papering over the cracks.
No sensible supporter would expect us to comfortably win games with some of the patched up sides that we have had on the paddock at various points over the past 3 seasons, but surely it is not asking for too much when simply wanting to see committed performances, regardless of personnel on the field.
This current spate of injuries has come at a very convenient time for Agar, and he is simply taking cover behind them and using them as an excuse yet again. The reality is that in the whole of Agar’s tenure as head coach you can probably count on one hand how many times the side has played expansive, creative, committed and focussed rugby, and that has nothing to do with injuries and everything to do with Agar’s ability, or lack of, as a head coach.
Our current downward spiral started before the current spate of injuries had kicked in, but some people seem to simply forget this fact.
