I've come to the same conclusion. 23 years and most of those we've been towards the bottom. We've certainly not progressed on the field despite some relatively good seasons. Our revenue does not support a SL team and sadly that seems to be coming to bite us this season.

It’s not a big secret.
Lists are distributed to clubs regularly through the season too about who is available.
Simply fact is we cannot compete financially with most clubs if they want the player.
It’s nothing to do with identifying them, we sadly have to deal with the scraps we are thrown and try mould them into a team capable of competing or more realistically surviving in SL.'"
That is not a sustainable business plan for any company certainly not one in the entertainment business during a cost of living crisis. We don’t even help ourselves by marketing the game or trying to generate some positive news. We have probably one of the highest match day tickets and I dread to think what we charge for a pint compared to a pub away from the ground. If you look at the Wakefield Trinity app it contents mainly reflect the ladies team which is fine but the first team news should take precedence.
The bad news of course is that these appear to be the good times before we start to repay a loan which I guess will be part funded by a reduced wage bill.

Can anyone show Rob Butler’s match stats and compare them with DF?

Thanks John, I know exactly how it works and while what you’ve said is correct it’s not the whole story of how players are identified or how clubs move on unwanted players.

Out of curiosity, when did Ken Davy take over at Huddersfield.
They were relegated in 2001, and came back much stronger.
I know he's ban rolled them, but I wouldn't say that happened too much in the early years of them returning to super league.
If one thing, it would be a good way to get rid of the dead wood, and re build, both potentially on and off the pitch.
The main problem, is, would we have the finances, to strengthen, when needed

it's not fine by me that the ladies section now seems to dominate the Trinity website - I have nothing at all against ladies playing rugby, though I would never watch it, and the two should have separate sections IMO.
Regarding the loan repayment, we don't know the terms of the repayment - your guess may be wrong of course!

It would be an enforced way of personnel change, I agree in some cases for the better.
Isn't there going to be the proposed SL 1 and SL2 starting soon anyway? I've been an advocate for a long time of bringing potential SL teams together to form another competitive league, which if marketed properly could be a crowd puller in itself. Hopefully we stay in SL1 but to be honest, as long as the club were competitive in 1 or 2 I would still support them, as I did through many dreary years back in the 80's!

Didn't they also benefit financially from the proposed 'merger' with Sheffield - which never happened?

| Are we judging a player based on one appearance.
Seen some of our props in the past 2-3 go a full stint, without taking the ball up

| You won’t get many offloads away if that’s the case. It’s the future not the past that relates to what we need now. We need impact.
Thanks Fordy. Any idea how many minutes both did?

Well if you wanted to make a good first impression you’d do a bit more! Think another player hit the nail on the head with Butler, he seems to be another cheap signing.
