| The club received a number of complaints/comments ( I think they refer to it as "feedback") via various mediums, however the statement doesn't really go towards an apology for the over zealous and incorrect actions of "some" of the stewards on Friday night A friend of mines grandkids had there plastic bottles of fruit shoots confiscated upon entry to the ground via the doncaster road turn styles, but when he bumped in to us on the western terrace we were drinking coke from bottles we'd walked in to the ground drinking through the turn styles on the western terrace I do believe it was the stewards that have misinterpreted the rule and not the club trying to enforce a different rule.

In the true spirit of health and safety legislation, I am prepared to take any reasonably practicable steps to mitigate the harm; I'll be conducting a full risk assessment of my flask before I set off to future games and will erect appropriate signage in the area surrounding my imminent flask usage. I will also issue PPE to any individuals in the vicinity at the time of flask opening (pre-match and half time) and will prepare a risk reduction plan and a contingency plan, to cover the possibility of any hot beverage spillage type events.
I am prepared to go to any lengths for a decent brew, but I will not compromise the health and welfare of my fellow spectators, players, ground staff or the general public; safety first - safety second.

The obvious answer surely is to set up a Bren2k exclusion zone. I would think 25 metres in any direction should suffice.

| A genuine and sincere note of thanks from me to the club for listening and addressing this issue. You have made me feel all warm inside and showed me that you care about us. My heart is now yours again

And this is where Health and Safety legislation comes up against the Mental Capacity Act and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards; I have the capacity to make my own decisions about hot beverage consumption, so your cage would be a deprivation of my liberty - you'd have to apply for authorisation from the local authority to put such restrictions in place and frankly, I think you'd be on shaky ground.
I'll go for the exclusion zone suggested by Hessle Roader; I hate the general public as a rule, so that would suit me down to the ground.

Get your own flask then, and put the necessary work in prior to unleashing it's potential harm on those around you.
I think we've clarified now that a flask of strong tea is a potential death-trap.

| and the stewards were still not letting fans take their own food and drink into the ground at the Doncaster Road turnstiles!
One young lad had his rucksack searched and he had to leave his plastic bottle of Coke and two packets of crisps outside the ground.
Once again, shameful. I'm not sure whether we want fans to watch our games!
