| Quote: Kettykat "But it isn’t as bad as stated , there was a breakfast hut situated down the side of the car park last time I visited and plenty of room for more if they so desire . We will be their for a few hrs at the most , a cracking club run way better than ours was by the looks , but by the sounds of this chat ,Siddal is sounding more like a gulag than an amateur club . You know us British we like a good moan about anything and everything .if people aren’t happy with the situation stay away , they probably don’t want or need negative people at the club pulling it to bits , boy we’ve had enough over the years dragging our club through the mire ,but if you do go , I think you’ll find a hidden gem of a club'"
You’ve said this a couple of times now “if you don’t like it, stay away”
What if people don’t want to miss the game but are excluded from seeing it by the limited number of tickets, no disabled facilities or are just unable to stand for 80 minutes or so.
If it was the only option, if there wasn’t a better alternative then it ouldnt be helped but there are options

It's their choice. There is always the possibility of not getting a ticket even if it were played at BV.
If people want to go they need to get their ti set early.

That’s not really truthful is it.
If it were played at Belle Vue or Halifax’s stadium the attendance wouldn’t outstrip the number of tickets and no one who wanted to go would have to miss out, also any Disabled spectators would also be accommodated.

Probably, or even most likely, but there is always a limit.
It's hardly fair to make demands on them just because we have a bigger stadium.
Would it have been fair for Leeds to force us to move when we had reduced attendance last year?
If they'd rather keep home attendance at the expense of income, then it's their choice.

Excludes me due to not being able to stand. Thought rugby was supposed to be all inclusive

I would imagine for a big SL club it probably wouldn't. But Wakey are Championship, so fair play to Siddal for exercising their right to choose.

| It is what it is now and I think people should accept that it's Siddal's choice, move on and stop whineing all over the place. A few fans are getting the lot of us tarred with the same entitled brush that Bradford have been saddled with since their fall from grace.
Those who are lucky enough to get tickets can turn up and share a great day with the home fans.

| I agree it's Siddals choice as the home side to play the game where they wish, it's also peoples right to have an
opinion on that without being labelled as moaners. This forum is about expressing opinions, as long as they stay within
the AUP they are free to do just that.

I’m not nor am I in a position to make demands on the Siddal club, I’m simply debating the reasoning and lack of sense, imo, in their decision to play it at their amateur club

Exactly, and the definition of moaning for some people seems to be simply having discussions, seeking clarification or being disappointed because they can’t attend.
I personally haven’t seen anything I would class as moaning, I haven’t seen anything that would be disrespectful either to Siddal.
There’s no need for a white knight to come in and try and save the world.
Hopefully it will be a good game for the spectators and run without issue.

Glad you mentioned Bradford mate, when we first got back into SL we drew the Bulls at home in the cup & they whinged and whined that we couldn’t accommodate all their (glory) fans at Belle Vue. Richardson quite rightly refused to switch the game to Odsal. Whether it makes sense or not, it’s Siddals call.

I agree with what you are saying.
However, Halifax wont host Siddal for free and would no doubt want to keep any bar / refreshment takings (as we probably would).
Thet earn the right to stage the game and assuming it can be held in a safe environment, job done.
None of us have the "right" to attend every game and whatever their facilities are, their own fans will be well used to them, albeit, next week will be their biggest home crowd for some while and possibly ever.
It would be great if the game could be streamed in some way, which would give everyone who wants to watch, an opportunity to see the game.

Although….

In the UK, venues such as sports grounds are legally obliged, under the terms of the Equality Act 2010, to ensure that people with disabilities aren’t disadvantaged when it comes to accessing and enjoying their facilities.’
