| Quote: wildshot "To add some balance with a counter argument, I have no issue with us relocating to Cas if it means the survival of Trinity, plus the team being located somewhere I can access relatively easily to make as many home games as possible. (I don't have an anti-Cas emotion and from my perspective the future of Trinity overrides an "own stadium" sentiment.)'"
In his LW interview it states Mc has ruled out sharing with Cas.

| Has cas ever offered to let you move in new ground if it's ever built.there is a world of difference between helping out on a temporary basis and being a permanent fixture

Just out of interest how much input will there be from Cas in financial terms?

"Stand by me as I stand by you, be brave and dare to dream".: |

| I really think the club/trust are missing a trick in all of this. Too many people, mainly fans, are focusing only on the loss of a stadium which fails to acknowledge the wider reason so many people signed up in support of the NM development; the community facilities. That's the key, all the pitches etc that we're going to be built for the community. That's where you get the support, not a stadium, which if we're being honest can not and was not ever going to be a truly "community stadium". The same can be said of Castleford attempts to market their development as "community"; its nonsense (though I accept the Cas one is/was even less of a community facility. If there can be such a thing)!

That being the case then and assuming your right then the land belongs to WMDC, would you then be in a position to dictate whether or not and for how long we could stay in the ground, just a thought.

I'm curious, in what respect would the land belong to WMDC?

It doesn't.
The land has been sold to Lateral with a contract in place to say that as soon as the stadium is built, it will be transferred to CTRLFC freehold and we will own the stadium.

| Quote: Sacred Cow "Personally i always thought that was the best course of action as i've never liked the Newmarket location but i'm pretty sure we've tried heading down that path and ultimately found a dead end there as well. I get the feeling all the trust and hope has gone between not only the council and Yorkcourt but also now 88m.
Quoting MC again in league weekly today he says ' We have given notice to quit and that has been aknowledged and accepted. Whatever happens to Belle Vue i've no idea. It's nothing really to do with us.' He also says when asked if there is any chance the decision could be reversed before the end of the season 'Not in my eyes', and is fed up of 'people making promises that are not kept'. if he could turn back the clock 6 months he would have gone to Dewsbury. He certainly comes accross as sick to the back teeth of it all and it is 'debatable' whether they'll ever be a route back into Wakefield. He is certainly cranking up the pressure and maybe it is a last hope that it spurs the powers that be into action but i also feel he has just thought enough is enough, to hell with you we are off. And i wouldn't be surprised if the first thing 88m do once we move out and taken what is ours is look to flatten the place. Sad times.'" I hope I get prior warning

I neither know nor care who it belongs to as it goes, it looks like I've wrongly assumed that atm it was council land, I merely raised the point against our friend from across the common as to what their contribution to the stadium was with regards to their position allowing us to use their stadium in the sad event of it becoming a reality hth.

| Has anyone actually approached Featherstone as a possibility? It's a grand little ground and would appear somewhat superior to Dewsbury's in my humble opinion.
Liked MC's wry comment in today's League Weekly thus: "Some certain people don't give a s*** about Wakefield Trinity" (or words very much to that effect. I wonder who he was referring to.

That's more like it, I'd share with Rovers for a while without hesitation.

| The article says they've been talking for a few weeks, and I suspect that's the back-up plan.
