Well some games the forwards have carried us into the opposition 20 on numerous ocassions. Sometimes we have had repeat sets.
Also the wingers as said havent over the course of 8 games had any decent space or ball.
I’m pretty sure our issue lies within the spine positions of 1,6,7,9,13.
I’m far from convinced with Lino either and never have been. He’s the one constant who’s had the most ball and created (other than game 1) absolutely nothing with all that ball. His skip looks class across the line but I’m not sure if that delays and allows defensive cover to come across. I don’t doubt his effort but he is most certainly not an organiser and is more an off the cuff plsyer. He should be playing second fiddle to a half who is able to organise a team and plays.
Someone said that the team don’t appear to know what Lino will do. There could be something in that. Of course it’s not just Lino as I think there are issues at 9 particularly and 13.
I did think initially Kay would have been a good 9 but he’s clearly lacking in the technical side and his strength is running when on front foot. For me he’s not had a successful transition to 9. Won’t doubt his effort but we have an actual 9 waiting in the wings on Bowes who I believe would offer more,
Some decisions need to made for these positions which may not be comfortable but needed.

| Lino isn’t a natural organiser that is true. But his problem is he has has no creative help from elsewhere. Neither Smith or Gaskell alongside him are up to the task, we don’t have a ball handling loose forward, we have the worst hookers in the league for getting him fast accurate ball and our forwards regularly lose the collision and make the least meters in the league by far for him to play behind. Dagger has come in and quite honestly has shown no more creativity than Kay did at fullback. The guy hasn’t had a chance, the opposition know if you stop Lino you stop Wakey.
The other guy in the squad with any idea with the ball is Jowitt. It’s no coincidence that the only time they have played together this season Lino registered 3 try assists in the match. Maybe Milnes might help but he isn’t stopping long. Even given the rest of the squads shortcomings the failure to recruit a suitable replacement for Miller is unforgivable.

In all honesty, I don't think we've been great at 9 since the Wood/Randell days, except for Bowes.
Also, as much as I like Crowther, he is much more of a defensive 13, maybe move him into the second row, and look to a 13 who's a bit more creative.

This is truer than many on here may think. To be fair a big Fifita run often gave them most of their airtime but they had the speed / energy / smarts that we don't have at 9 nowadays.
Randall also very under rated imho

Yep. Randall was another never adequately replaced. Went from having an NRL standard hooker to Josh Wood who tried hard bless him but was a mile away ability wise.

| Totally agree about the hooking role, Randall was never replaced adequately, him and Wood complimented each other very well and made a very good pair and none of the people we have had at hooker since they left are anywhere near as good although I would like to see more of Bowes because he does have potential.

| ANGRY that we are bringing loan 6, and winger ,and swap a star of the future for a 3 choice fullback..Do not no who made the call to get rid of Hampshire never will, but none of the players we have brought in are fit to tie is shoelaces .And he could play at 1,6 ,and wing .And far better than any 6 at the club

I agree 100%. Very short sighted decision.

What difference would that have made. He's injured.
