| Quote: Starbug "Not wanting to take sides here , but you are extremely fortunate that Crusaders went into administration , because if they hadn't , Fax would be in SL , and you'd be in the Championship , I seriously doubt that the RFL would have changed the rules on administration for your good selves
You have been extremely lucky'"
You are wrong, in that had Crusaders not gone into administration, the taxman wouldn't have asked the cash because there was an existing agreement with the taxman. So, as I understand it, if the Crusaders hadn't gone into administration, then neither would we, and so that problem wouldn't have arisen.
The Halifax chairman should have held his fire, effectively accusing Wood and Lewis of dishonesty. If we stumble, or Cas, or Quins, I can't see them giving Halifax a call now. He may have burned his bridges with the RFL with that statement, and you never know, he may have needed it within the next year.

| Just heard the interview with the chairman of Halifax... must say utter tosh.
I quote
"Our results have been better than Wakefields on the pitch".
No s*** sherlock. Didnt know playing Wigan, Warrington, St Helens etc.. each week compared with Dewsbury, Leigh & Barrow.
Idiot.

| Ralph Rimmer confirms Halifax's application wasn't as strong as the clubs who were successful with their license application.

But neither would you have had new management either , or the prospect of spending 500 K on BV , sorry Slugger but you have got out of jail here , and you have to see the Fax fans/owners point
Also I'm sorry but clubs should not have to keep shut on subjects like this , and if the RFL admin are petty enough to let it affect their decisions on subjects as serious as the future of clubs , then they should not be in the job

| I am sick to the back teeth listening to the Halifax chairman bleating on about being hard done to. He wants to take a long hard look at his own club's financial history before going on about ours. He In the past Halifax have been in financial trouble more times than Greece. Yes there stadium is better than ours but on a size to time ratio took longer to finish than Wembley.
It wasn't just the RFL who had input in today's decision. Yes we have been given a lifeline by the outcome, but if you want to be taken seriously then argue your point with like for like. My favourite quote of his was when he said 'anyone can put anything in an application it doesn't make it true, but we have been honest with ours.'

To some extent we have, I accept that, but the administration was the stick to beat us with, and was something the Fax chairman bleated about.
I don't care whether clubs keep quiet or not, but to accuse other people in the game of deception and duplicity will make him few friends. Fine, let him mouth off, but when the RFL are considering who to call when one of the grade C clubs falters on a promise, he can hardly complain when his phone doesn't ring. It was a time for a cool head and a long-term view, similar to the way Widnes dealt with it last time. You never know, his outburst might make the one at the LSV tinkle.

Agreed, but don't you think he is actually picking on the wrong club, he should have gone after Quins!

| The administration of the Halifax club is disgraceful.
rlThey played an ineligible player in the CCCrl
rlThen having to settle outside of an RFL investigationrl
Much as I admire their supporters the chairman should just let it rest.

The point is what if Quins do a Crusaders? Someone will need to take their place. Nigel whathisface was making the point that clubs have given undertakings, and they have to fulfil them. That's the point I was making. He's let your club down by his outburst today, because it might help to nudge clubs like Featherstone or Leigh above you if someone does have to step into the breach.

You may have missed it been from the other side of the hill, but Gration was supposed to interview Wood but he pulled out right at the last minute leaving Rimmer to face the music.
The question has been asked by several Trinity supporters, but there is no reason why Trinity would be included at the expense of Halifax had their application been inferior. Its not like the club were on the protected list. Their bid must have been better, despite how incredulous the Halifax chairman may find it.
