I agree, however the City of Wakefield are not getting of thier asses and coming down to watch us and its up to the marketing team to persuade them to get down and watch us!

The game shouldnt need marketing, but the simple fact is it does!
There isn't much us, as individuals can do (bar nag and badger friends and family to come down, which I do all the time!)

We need to market ever game aggressively, thats a fact. Its not good but its essential at the moment!!

You have to admit though that there are only a small percentage of out home gate will go out of their way to watch reserve/junior levels games. Yes, they may be winning, but I'm sure some people have lives outside of Wakefield Trinity.

If the first team got 300 gates, then we wouldn't deserve a rugby team.

At the Hull KR game the lads were rightfully given a lap of honour at half time, great move from the club. Our fans who were at the game gave them a good reception. Why did the club not make the announcer add something on in the slot where he introduced them going round the field.

There was no mention at all of an upcoming home game with Wigan to earn a place in the Grand Final. It's little things like that what have me shaking my head in disbelief.

Went to watch our reserves play Cas early in the season, there must have been a 1000 there. Excuses,Excuses,Excuses, the simple fact is we have a terrific hard core loyal support but the greater public have no interest of RL in wakefield.

If Wakefield had a lager drinking while watching telly competition we'd be top of the league.

And do you know why that was ?

Because at half time we did not know when the game would be played, we had not beaten Hull by then, did not know what the other results would be and the acadamy fixture needed fitting in around that.

We certainly would. Thats why our marketing team have to work that bit harder.

Why is it going out of the way to support the youth structure of the club?

Yeah maybe they do but like PB says its just excuses

4,300,pitiful but that's what I expect.

It's not like the academy games are promoted very well. Some times people are suprised to find out they even had a home game.



As for todays game, not been in town centre today but would have been good if there was a promo team there to advertise the game, we have something to be proud about so let's shout about it. Even if it just adds a few onto the game it's still a sucess!

Let's hope we are all suprised by the attendance tonight, in a good way!!
