Bowes Smith went really well. Atoni looks like he could be a belter. All round good performance with decent game management. Other than the start of the second half I thought we defended well.'"
Sorry. Maybe it's just me but Pratt didn't look like he could step in just yet. Loses a lot in size, which of course can be improved. Some nice touches and speed show he has something and will i think be special but he isn't there quite yet.
Eseh could play first team right now for me.

Probably not or only in a massive emergency. His game will be based heavily on his physicality and clearly at senior level he’s not there yet. Eseh is a freak in the nicest possible way but imo even he us probably a season off being totally ready, but all things are relative.

Which is why I think Pratt needs to work on his skills/passing and footwork until his injury body catches up. Pratt is one for the near future not now except in emergency. I like the club have an eye on the future.
Also, Eseh - it’s rare for forwards of his age to have the physicality he does. If he applies himself he could be one of the best props in the league in a few short years.

| Think we really have to be patient with some of the young players…
I read a post the other day which talks about Eseh’s potential breakthrough year…. Finally!!!
As if we’ve been waiting decades for this 19 year old kid to break through! Giving kids a chance to train full time and mature alongside seasoned professionals, is not an indication of their readiness for regular first team football…

I agree. Eseh is ready to play first team, but that means play a game or two maybe more, but not front up for a whole season.
He'll develop over the next year or two.

Even Dane Windrow who seems to have been at the club a long time only turned 20 last June… and he’s growing into a fine athlete… would expect him to play a few games this year… maybe more if injuries strike

Morgan was Star of the show for me closely followed by Gaskell ,and what a mouthwatering prospect he’ll be going forwards watching the lads development within our team ,
He Looked very comfortable albeit against lesser opposition . Looking at the run out and the players still sat on the sidelines and yet to arrive , I’m more than happy with how the team is looking. Imo It’s certainly looking to me that the furore over the departing players and the stick the club got was knee jerk and somewhat unfounded, but there you are that’s fickle fans for you .

All Leeds fans
Seems like they don't know the wakey players
Smith doing well at hooker'" '"
It's a Leeds broadcast, they're just using Our League to stream it.'"
If that's the case, and want to sell to a wider audience then I suggest they get a balanced commentary team.

My comments were about what was in front of him yesterday I wasn't for one minute meaning Pratt could walk into the first team. I also think Eseh has a bit to go but will get a few runs this season

| Relatively speaking our squad was stronger than Leeds but, we had plenty of youngsters on display and there are plenty to come in as well.
It was an entertaining game and always breaks up the Christmas break.
Lots of players impressed and Battye was excellent in the forwards.
Gaskill caused them plenty of problems all afternoon and Smith, probably the halfback with most to prove, was exceptional.
Always great to beat Leeds and lets hop we can do so a couple more times through the season

Nope, it's still the same....Leeds are allowed to score off mile-forward passes at Headingley
Such a shame it didn't make a difference to the final score.......

Well it did because I saw one maybe two tries that came from forward passes so adding points that should not have been given thereby inflating the Leeds score.

| Well, I watched the game on trinity tv and the best player head and shoulders was ….
Jai Whitbread. The engine this guy has. He’s everywhere, running lines, making great post contact yards and quick plays. Cutting players like leeming down who broke the line and dropping on lost balls. Signing Whitbread was a master stroke. He will be the engine of our pack for years to come I hope.
Morgan Smith was very good too. His footwork was good and his shirt padding to link up to the edges was crisp and gave opportunity. Also poked his nose through a few times. It was like seeing a young Miller.
Atoni was very good too.
Bowes impressed me. Very busy from 9 and I like his style and distribution. Makes some useful runs too. You can tell he’s an out and out 9 and knows the position inside out.

I was excited when we signed Smith. I know it's just one game but for me he looks so much more assured than Lino. The players around him seemed to know what he was doing, whilst I never get that with Lino.
It would be a brave choice, but if he carries on like this in the remaining friendlies I'd go with Smith/Gaskell for the first game, they did seem to compliment each other.
