| All I've heard is papers records of what was owed were not kept therefore the first the current officials knew of the debt was when the supplier got in touch.

| Quote 1873="1873"If, hypothetically, there was another set of books not seen by the whole board, how could any accountant act on information he was not aware of?
Maybe the statements that no player was on 100K, when players themselves were talking in these terms, could be covered up in these hypothetical accounts !
This was the case at Melbourne, where it ran for years, only difference was the money was there to keep the illusion alive.
People who run businesses to make money will sometimes take every advantage they can, be it legal/grey/illegal, and keep the methods to themselves'"
From what I understand its not that there was a hidden second set of books, just that the first set didn't contain any meaningful information as to what was owed and to whom. That must make it difficult to ensure people are being paid properly or at all, and would also make it difficult to know if those demanding money were actually owed it or not. Not the easiest situation to walk into and try and sort out.

What I'm pleased about is that now folk know more of the facts relating to the desperate situation MC found himself in they are seeing the recent fire sale as being absolutely necessary. MC I'm not one for airing dirty linen in public but sometimes the facts help the doubters to understand.
If you are one of the doubters. One of the "I'm not buying a ticket, joining 1873 club" I would ask you to get behind the club now.

| ffs - what difference does it make to going forward to fans to know how the previous board and the board before that let us go so far down hill,
The only thing that matters is Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. MC/Daddycool has been more open than he needs to be and still gets criticised, its about time the negativity stopped and we all got behind the club, the board and the players whoever comes in. if a player is willing to sign for Wakefield at this present time then he needs to be applauded and supported.

| I like what I've read from Daddy Cool so far so good, done a good job clearing a good chunk of 400k if everything I've read and heard is accurate.
The next week or so will be big for WTW to ensure they are competitive next season and stay in top 12.....with the proposed signings hopefully bringing in some quality and experience to strengthen winger, scrum half, prop (x2) and hooker positions.

| I haven't agreed with all of the execution, but the strategy is right; this club, once and for all, needs to learn to cut its cloth and for now, the best person to create that culture is an accountant with a disciplined and pragmatic approach to financial management.
I'm relieved to hear MC saying that he knows he's no PR person; if we can go into next season with a stable base, mix it up around the lower end of the table and avoid relegation, who knows what the BoD will look and feel like this time next year? Someone with the additional skills (and maybe money) may look at the club and decide "they've finally got their act together, I'm having a bit of that!"
Given the circumstances and the mess he inherited, I think MC is doing a great job.

| Not felt the need to post before but I feel a certain amount of guff has been posted recently. Under the circumstances I feel MC has done a remarkable job so far and like others I have been taken aback by the honestly with which MC has communicated with the fans. On another note although fed up with all the recent player sales and any potential future ones, I feel that the current squad does still have a little bit of quality running through it unlike JK's last year under similar circumstances. I still appreciate though that it is gonna be a long season.

I agree that there is still quality there. I feel Amor and Aiton will be missed the most. A couple of shrewd signings needed there. Tim Smith had a brilliant passing game though rarely made a break. No disrespect to him but I personally feel he will be easier to replace than Aiton

| There's PR, and there's the PR crap we've had for the past few years. Hyped up announcements about nothing special. Hope that lesson has been learned.
