| It's more disappointing because we'd been gradually playing better and better the last couple of weeks, with the couple of wins but really didn't do ourselves justice out there at all.
The Hull side just had more about them especially in the first half, where our defense was a bit soft and they capitalised. Although Hull's defense was good, we lacked our usual attacking spark and were easily shut down.
Really missed Poore's go forward & tackling and also Mathers at the back.

| The whole Wakey team where playing dirty, running into tackles with elbows raised, high tackles and going in with the knees.
Paul Aiton in particular was a disgrace, punching players on the ground and going for the head in every tackle!

I take it you're a Hull fan as am I but why come on here and embarrass yourself.
Rugby is a tough game but I saw no evidence of that.
That said Roby was very lenient on off sides and using the head as a lever but it went both ways.
For whatever reason I thought trin found it hard to break our line and for me they lacked that spark in attack and defence, whether that be from Hull actually playing well and preventing it or their inability last night. The only time I saw some real enthusiasm going forward was just after you scored.
Think Poore was a big miss for you.

He's tried it on the Hul forum and got no support, one of life's unfortunates it seems.
Good luck in the next round.

| Lot of fans bashing the tea, just accept it Hull played very well outstanding defence and put us off our attacking game, result we revert to too many inside passes. Take nothing away from Hull they were at home and they did a job, we had some chances we didnt take them they also bombed a few.
Roby was poor for both teams but keya reas he should have gripped he failed to do so, esp around the ruck and markers standing square, I thought this are was poorly policed last night.
We needed some grunt up front last night and missed Poore big time the platform was never laid for us to attack with the flair we have developed. credit must go to Hull for this.
There were some performances out there that will be scrutinised by the coach, Hull got far too much assistance with needless penalties and our ball retention was poor throughout the game. I thought we contributed to our own downfall in many respects but apart from the defence of Hull I dont think there was much in it other than that.

| On reflection, we just didn't have enough up front, Poore was a big miss for us.
The "try" that wasn't given was an appalling decision and begs the question, why do we have in goal officials ?
Hull's defence was excellent though and they certainly controlled Ali and Collis for the vast majority of the game.
With the exception of Amor, Anakin and Kirmo (2nd half in particular), our forwards were no match for Hull.
A disappointing night really, but an excellent turnout from the Wakey fans.

I thought the south stand was a little under a quarter full (which holds 4000 I think) so probably about 8/900 wakey fans

| The club sold just over 500 tickets for the game so the estimate of 500/600 is bang on.

| I think we'll be bemoaning the same old problems until we start spending full salary cap, which is hopefully after we move into newmarket. What we've seen the last 2 seasons is probably similar to that of all the seasons in Super League before them... we're a struggling mid-lower league team, who at their best can scrape a playoff place.
I just hope Glover can take us further forward when we get into newmarket because I think the squad needs some serious improvements at the end of the next 2 seasons. Players like Lynne, Mellars, L. Smith aren't good enough in my opinion. I've yet to see what L. Smith adds to the team in any position he's played yet I think he often slips under the radar. Raleigh looks like he's struggling at the minute which is a shame, I thought he looked particularly weak and seemed to lose a lot of the collisions against Catalans and it sounded no different yesterday. Ideally, we're a centre, a better stand-off and another good quality prop off being a decent side.

| Hulls defence was absolutely brutal & brilliant, one of the best defensive efforts i've seen, this obviously contributed to our total inability to attack. Which for us hasn't been the problem for us throughout Agar's reign. The number of inside balls were incredibly frustrating as was our "pass to ali" tactic.
Decent turn out from wakey fans.. who were in the main let down.
Mr Roby was totally inept; however if we had the best ref in the world we wouldnt have won in a million years.
Good luck to hull for their CC run.

| Quite simply we were outplayed in every department. Hull did exactely what they did at BV and we have no answer to it. They slowed us down in attack, and without a quick play the ball we were ineffective.
There defence was far superior to ours and was extremly well organised, infact they were an awful lot fitter than us across the park. We couldn't afford to get a couple of scores behind because Hull's tactical kicking game is clinical. They did this at BV and again last night once they had a lead.
The second half, we tried to copy Hull and upped our defence and slow them down, unfortunately the damage was already done and they had the patience and intelligence to play field position and we couldn't make the yards to ever really exert pressure on Hull's line.
In terms of individuals. It was noticeable that Lyne has been truely awful against his former club twice. Washbrook had probably his worst game for us last night too and we desperately miss Mathers. Why was Lee Smith responsible for last play kicks?
