A fair and balanced judgement has already been made by the elected representatives who comprise the planning committee; it's got naff all to do with passive aggressive Cas fans or LCC.

a development WILL happen on this site, regardless of the Trinity involvement... there will inevitably be a merging of the urban sprawl between Wakefield and Leeds... the best that can be hoped is that this is done in a green and sympathetic way. Compared with some potential options this is a good plan, and offers much for the community.

I once almost bought a house on bottomboat rd... If i lived there now I would be campaigning for full community involvement in the development...

I agree, however, I can see their argument and why they do oppose it. It isn't right but they are entitled to do that on the issues they have raised.

As for your comment on Cas fans, I'll ignore that. Most of the Cas fans are wishing you well, myself included.

Who's happy now? Do you mean 'there' unless you mean specific people. This 'nobody' you speak of where were they last Friday? As I understand it two of the speakers against the project were no shows. The fact is people such as you are learning the hard way that 'because' is not a valid argument. You say nobody wants this development, clearly that's not the case if 16000 people do want it. In a country (England) with a population of 51.4 million I hardly think 1000 (many of which it appears live on Newmarket Lane in the same house) is hardly a majority. Even if you take it to a local level 1000 out 323,900 is still not majority you are so hung up on. The fact is this the site of an old colliery, we are not talking about part of the dales. You are clearly anti Wakefield trinity wildcats, that is so obvious when all you are whinging about is the stadium which going to built on Brown belt.
