| Now's the time to back your club,letters/e-mails to Leeds city council,Look North supporting this positive project.
Also positive mail to Yorkcourt, the Wakefield express and the club couldn't possibly go amiss.
Get them sent,it doesn't take a lot of your time!

| Quote: Sandal Cat "
Not seen any of this but the cynic in me says it the usual Leeds bias against Wakefield. If the proposal is approved may it prevent Leeds developing their side of the Motorway junction. If its rejected I would not be surprised if Leeds look at some stage in the future to develop their side of the junction. Seems like Leeds looking after Leed's interest but I could be wrong.'"
I said the same a few days ago, I doubt that this has anything to do with the issues stated by the councillors and probably has more to do with LCC having their own eyes on a development on that junction.
If the objections were to succesfully derail the Newmarket site, I think that Leeds City Council would have no shame at all in offering land to the distribution companies.

| Just sent in a long winded whinge about the coverage.
Still seething, I wouldn’t mind so much if I didn’t have to pay, by law I might add, for the privilege of watching a completely biased report.

| Think it's pretty ironic that 12 months since Leeds council was up in arms after Sheffield city council complained about Leeds bilding an indoor arena!Hypocrisy rules eh?

The next time the super league show is live at wakefield we should make our opinions known like that bloke did on sky news . SACK HARRY , WATCH SKY SPORTS THE BBC IS @@@@@

| Can someone, as briefly as possible, sum up for me where we are with the stadium planning/building process, the likely time scale and the likliehood of building actually starting. I'm not being lazy or thick (well definitely not lazy) but I've lost track and not living in Wakefield or having seen Look North etc I'm not sure what's going on. Cheeky I know but thanks in anticipation.

| 1) We've found a site
2) Yorkcourt will build it along with the rest of the development, the stadium and associated facilities will be managed by a community trust.
3) Plans have been submitted - deadline for objections or support was 28th May
4) We're waiting for the planning decision, and to see whether the plans get 'called in' for review by HMG.
Thats as I understand it - I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wong

Thanks
I'm ok as far as No 3. When can we expect a decision on planning?

Do I understand it correctly that if HMG do call it in for review, we are pretty much goosed, due to the extra time this will add on?

Nope!
But it will take longer and it is unlikely to be 5-6weeks, probably July rather than June.
Stay strong!

| Staying strong but for what reasons would HMG call it in?
