Lanky kid to England international and you don't think he's improved, or Lyne, or Tupou, or Fifita and the list goes on.
I don't understand why people feel the need to underline the legitimate reasons for letting Chester go by underlining it with untruth.
Try asking TJ if he thinks he's improved under CC, I bet he'd tell you he has and owes him a lot.
Since returning from injury TJ has not had as many chances as he should have but that's a team and tactics issue, TJ himself has if anything got better as he's had to adapt,
What has partially held his game back is not CC but injuries, it's that simple.
I don't mind people having a pop at CC for the mistakes he has made, which IMO are now irredeemable but you can't bag him for what he has had little control over.
In your opinion maybe so. However there is no way I'm having the sentiment from PT that somehow Johnstone is a success story of Chester's. Of course he's improved he would have improved wherever he was simply due to coming of age he's that good. However Chester's use of him as a battering ram and his inability to even get the ball to him on the wing more than a couple of times a game in the last couple of years is absolutely scandalous when you have someone that good. He should be our absolute focal point in every game, instead we barely see him unless he's making something out of nothing. So yes, to trumpet Johnstone as being a success story under Chester I'm not having

I, of course, should do the same but at the end of the day, I'm a nobody, people like BLM, FT, and Mopsey are not. They are directly linked to the club and the playing staff and I have no doubt whatsoever that the club reads what's on here and knows who's posting. Mopsey in particular may be as honest as the day is long but honesty has to be tempered with diplomacy, especially when you are by connections a somebody.
'"
I actually admire their honesty, don’t think anyone who posts on here isn’t a genuine fan, if cc and the board take offence then do something about it.
Sadly for some reason they seem to be tinkering around the edges , personally if I was Chris Chester and had an ounce of pride I would have resigned 2-3 months ago.

So when players improve its their own work but when players don't improve its Chester's fault?
TJ has said in interviews that he's improved under both Smith and Chester.
He had some real flaws in his game when he started in taking high balls and defense.
He's plugged a lot of those gaps.
Returning the ball is a standard part of a wingers job now. Show me another team who doesn't do it.

I don't think it's fair to expect him to walk away from however many thousands a year. I wouldn't unless my health was suffering and I suggest most people wouldn't in the same position.

Selective points there PT. If you feel that Chester is in anyway getting the best out of Johnstone that's your opinion. I just don't share it

| All we seem to read on here is Chester this and Chester that or Carter this and Carter that. The point is 18 points up in first quarter and then to lose the only guys that lost that game were the ones on the park. The second half was abysmal and that was down to the players like it or not.

Well, for all the money spent and team on a winning run, Huddersfield fans are hardly turning up in droves to watch them 3,760, I think was the announcement, and 500 of those were from Trinity. . Yes, at every club the crowds are down, people have now got out of the habit of match day. Our crowds will be well down on average this year, it’s alright people on here complaining about lack of quality players, when those very people are withdrawing their support and ticket funding. Get behind the club, Remember, Use it or Lose it.

So you're saying then that all these defeats and poor performances are solely down to the players? The coach doesn't take any blame over the last 50 odd games?! Obviously he doesn't tell them to knock-on in the 18th minute, give a penalty away for high shot in the 24th, etc, etc, we all know that, and yes the players do have to perform better, and act as things unfold before them, but by your reckoning, the role of a coach is redundant then?! What does he actually say to them at half-time, because it clearly doesn't work does it given how many times we lose games that we are well in at between 40 and 60 minutes? If he takes no responsibility at all, then have no coach! Get rid, use the money to buy 2 or 3 players in key positions, let the senior players take over training drills, come up with a game plan by watching the opposition, like they do anyway with the coach present I presume? Then if they still perform poorly, lose most weeks, then we'll know it wasn't the coach to blame won't we?? I may have to edit the bit about the coach coming up with a game plan actually.......

Well I gave up two fairly big jobs over a matter of principle and resigned despite wife mortgage kids etc
Think if you have integrity and principles they are more important than the next pay check . I know it’s unfashionable but once upon a time integrity was something that was important.
-----That bit is uneccessary edited PT.

But you can understand why he wouldn't necessarily see it like that? He's not doing anything wrong or malicious is he he's just doing something to a poor standard, in our opinion.

| Yes I do understand that his priority is his livelihood . But the criticism he’s receiving must be having a negative impact on both him and his family.
Ultimately the team manager has to take responsibility for the teams performances - on Sunday we pretty much had the team he selected / wanted on the field made of players he’s either signed or re signed during his tenure.
Whilst it’s possible to criticise individual players ultimately the coach recruits trains selects and devises the game plan.
So ultimately it’s the coach who’s responsible and don’t see how anyone could blame anyone other than Chris . Unless you want to criticise the board for not biting the bullet.

Sacked rather than resigned but the end outcome is the same.
