I thought England ran Grix very close for the mom, both him and Fifita played very well despite both being penalised for dodgy decisions.

| We have to get over this TJ blind worship.
He's allowed to make a mistake and still be a great winger.
For me this one was a mistake.
We were on our line. We had more players than they did out wide. Yet the ball was passed to a player stood outside TJ and he couldn't recover.
I still like him. I still think he'll play for England. He wasn't the only one at fault.
No need for the public outcry at the mention of his name.

Goes both ways, he was out of position but there are reasons for it, it doesn't suddenly make him a weak link opposition coaches will be targeting.

On that I agree. It'll be to our advantage if coaches target him. He is not the weak link in our team.

| Even though salford put up a fight I never felt like we were ever going to loose the game. England again was impressive last week with big Dave gave big minutes, sometimes he doesn’t get the praise he deserves, just goes about his business in a quiet manner,, our pack will only improve its huge and at minute the bigger you are the more oxygen you need to drive the muscle and weight mass but this sub zero conditions is hard to get that breath as warmer weather arrives our big pack will be even more devastating. Hampshire is class, his passing seems more deliberate crisper and at pace, he must be knocking at door for start in France, Competition for places is high, Grix’s was solid under the high ball
In poor conditions, so tuff 2 points earned, we learn and onto France

I thought the opposite. I thought S'au bottled Lyne up everytime he got the ball. Think Arundell deserves a shot soon, he's more instinctive and direct than Lyne.

And he knows he has a winger outside him.

That should be the aim this season - find a way to win the close games. In seasons past we've more often than not been on the wrong end of the 14-16 results and the 10-12 results.

Err no, what we have to get over this desire to find fault with him for no reason. You're right he made one mistake maybe two but why even bring it up? If there was a player out there who didn't make a couple of errors I'd be gobsmacked yet oddly you and a few others single him out.
I believe it's called 'tall poppy syndrome'.

Is that the best you can find to say about Grix?! I thought he was the standout player on the pitch - and that crazy tackle he pulled off probably saved the game; the lads in the form of his life!

| There's a lot of negative stuff on here about certain players and yet we got the 2 points ??
God knows what will happen when we actually lose a game.
We should probably give Salford some credit for raising their game and pushing us all the way.
I loved Watson's comment "The good thing for us is we've come to a team which have been talked up as a top-four team this year. The boys have stuck to their task and have shown what we want to be about this season, which is competing against the top teams.
It's official, Trinity are a TOP TEAM !!!

Yeap, I comment on what is see, agreed that he was MOM , I’m a grix’s fan, it’s second game in and over the coming weeks he will prob be as he was last season the most consistent performer of this team, but last night he was steady in a scrappy game, he took 2 cracking high balls in second half.

And if Percival had kicked his conversions, Saints would have been in the Grand Final, not Cas. That's how it rolls. Had they scored, people would have been praising their confidence. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Chip paper.

| Salford seemed to make far more ground in their sets of six than we did, particularly in the second half when we stood off them at each play the ball and waited for them , thus giving Salford at least ten metres each time. I witnessed this a lot last season too. I Still think we need a Topliss type creative half back who can make jinxing runs in the middle of the field and put players away.
In my humble opinion I also think we need to take advantage of going for goal when we get penalties in kickable positions. It could well have back-fired on us last night.
