Whilst I agree that we should be able to and have to stand in SL on our own merits, this whole sorry saga is typical of the embarrassmnt of the sporting body that we have. The time for appeals is not weeks and weeks later, when we have been looking at league tables and planning team choices, loan deals, spending plans etc based on a situation we thought we had, only to find it may or has changed. This is WRONG! It is just bad sport administration and another reason why I get sicker by the season with the Rugby Football League

Contrived. A good word for it and I could not agree more. This started with the underhanded onset of SL 1995. It went a stage further with the removal of promotion and relegation and took a really cheat based twist before that when we were grudgingly allowed in SL 99 with less money than the rest. The game needs to retun to its true, honest sport roots that it forgot about when Lindsay et al took it over and prostituted it to Murdock and the Sky paymasters. Ok so I sound old. I'm with MC on this; if there was to be an appeal allowed, the whole mess needed sorting out much more quickly. Furthermore, there appears to be no jeopardy to lodging the appeal, which is perverse.

As it stands, they've allowed an appeal; if the basis of that appeal is 'force majeure,' I'd chuck it out without even hearing it; there is no reasonable way that the financial situation at Bradford could be described as 'unforeseen and unavoidable' - that's beyond stupid and as MC says, makes a mockery of what he had to do to keep WTW in the competition.

I don't suppose he'll lose any sleep over what Bradford fans think; he's more likely to lose sleep over the fact that he had to put his house on the line to keep the club in SL, whist Bradford were happy to fiddle whilst Odsal burned.

You'd hope not, though you expect a bit more professionalism from another SL club chairman. No other chairman has to my knowledge made public comment on the appeal. If they have they certainly haven't threatened to walk out on their club if they don't agree with the independent panels decision. I expect he quietly regrets making the comments, it hasn't shown him in a great light whether you agree with what he said or not.

No other club were told they would drop out of SL if they went into Admin.

Michael Carter still hasn't proven this like he said he would. The radio interview he did when all was going to be disclosed all he did was avoid the question.
