Quote kinleycat="kinleycat"I think it was a fair assessment.
It wasn't our best side (assuming the three overseas players are going to be successful and smith and lautiti to come back in) but we were beaten in all departments by fev today.
The experienced players came up short today.'"
Of course they did it was a training exercise - if you think Agar cares about the result he won't because he won't have considered it a real game. Whats more worrying to me is some of the young players who had something to gain maybe didn't perform as well as perhaps I hoped they would!
Problem is it's yours/my pride that's hurt not his and that's the problem with friendless - I'd go as far as renaming them training run 1,2 and 3.
Don't get me wrong it was hard to watch, but unlike the boxing day game which is a bit of a treat for the fans this was pure training and pretty boring to watch.
Agar on the other hand may have gleamed a treasure trove of info.
So no I don't think it was a fair point, but one none the less he is free to make.
PS: I lost interest in the result of friendlies years ago after HKR scored over a 100 points against Chorley(I think) in one. Their new star player from RU Bishop had a blinder and they looked a real challenger for the title- I believe they were relegated that year and were not to grace the top fight for over 15 years.
friendlies - bah
