So they're at least 6 months behind in regards to a new ground then, once Wakey & Cas start construction, Bradford should be looking over their shoulders, especially if they have another bad season because they'll lose the point for contribution to the competition, while Wakey & Cas, with another playoff berth gains them an extra point there + an extra 2 points for moving into new stadiums.

| Bradford's ground was deemed fine by the RFL in the last round of licences.

The more i read on this the more sure i feel that planning won't be the issue we might have feared. Yes i appriciate we're at the start of a long road, with many potential pitfalls, BUT, we have a very strong management team behind the project, who have worked wonders in a very short space of time to create a very detailed and viable plan. This project brings so much to the area, present and future. No politician would side against this in the present economic climate, i can honestly see this racing through the planning stages to provide much needed economic stability to a region that suffered so badly to the banking crisis.

Yes we will see who is better off in the long run old lad, i have no idea why Rodney whatever his name is said what he did, to my knowledge Rovers were approached months ago and said NO THANKS i also know planning application for the Rovers new ground will be lodged with the council very soon. The Rovers plans involve the 18 acres of land we own and talks are at an advanced stage with the council, the diffrence with the 3 bids is Rovers will be self funded no begging bowl will go out to anyone. Maybe Walker said what he did because he is desperate for the project to be more inclusive i have no idea but i am looking forward to the Rovers response

Headingley was still being referred to as 'World Class' around 10 years or so ago.
Times change as do the demands of the RFL (don't we know it).
Richard Lewis is a very fine man who has done some great work for this game, but he is human and erred to a major degree with the statement that one current club will be replaced. If all the competing clubs meet the required criteria, then what? Decide it on league position? I know, let's call it 'promotion and relegation'!

It appears that "yeee"(wtf that means) are the one feeling bitter and twisted.
We won the right to be in super league through ability on the pitch, beating some little backwater village team -- now who was that team again????

Too EDIT TRB right im bitter, and yes you beat us fair and square on the pitch and all i ask is we get the same opportunity some day. As for backwater village team, out of the 3 the last one to win the title was US we have also got a world crowd record neither you or the carpet carriers or any other RL team will ever match, not bad for a village team

| This has to be one of the most positive things to happen to our club in a generation. After all the false dawns of Durkar, Jnc 40 and Thornes Park you get the feeling that this is the real deal. How far we have come in a short space of time is amazing, it shows what can be done with the proper focus and motivation. The project has so much momentum with very influential people behind it that failure seems an unlikely outcome.
Regarding the Guardian article, as already stated it sounds like lazy journalism to me. I can't see how it's a choice between us and Cas when you have the likes of Salford and Crusaders who must be looking very shaky!
